Celestron SkyMaster 15x70

The cheapest serious sky upgrade.

around $110

Before you buy a telescope, buy binoculars. 15x70s show you Jupiter's moons, star clusters and the Andromeda galaxy's core — and they're how you scan a wide patch of sky fast when something's been reported overhead.
