ZWO Seestar S50
Point it at the sky. Watch galaxies appear on your phone.
around $500
A 50mm smart scope that finds, tracks, and stacks everything by itself — you just watch deep-sky objects materialize on your screen. No eyepiece, no learning curve, no frozen fingers. Purists will grumble; you'll be too busy showing your friends the Whirlpool Galaxy to care.

Why we like it
- Fully automated — plate solving finds targets itself
- Live stacking shows deep-sky objects from light-polluted skies
- Compact and genuinely portable
Keep in mind
- Tiny 50mm aperture limits fine detail
- Needs a charged battery and your phone/tablet
- Screen observing isn't the same as eyepiece observing
